On October 30, 2001 the last Ukraine intercontinental ballistic missile RS-22 (classified NATO SS-24 Scalpel) launcher was destroyed.
At the command post the 46-th missile division’s Army Missile ground equipment was converted into a museum. There is a Similar museum in the U.S. – Ronald Reagan Minute-man museum
Due to the legacy of the Soviet Union, Ukraine received the third largest in size nuclear arsenal in the world, a total of 176 intercontinental ballistic missiles, each of which contained 6-10 nuclear warheads (many times more powerful than the atomic bombs dropped in 1945, Japan).
